New Library Services Platform: Info & Signing In

In the summer of 2025, all OhioLINK libraries switched to Ex Libris Alma Library Management System. We have named our instance of this new catalog and discovery tool MalyPLUS. More Ex Libris products will be launched over the next year. Maly librarians are also updating the library website this academic year, which will include tutorials and guides on our new platform.

Sign-in is not required from on-campus to access the catalog and online resources, but it offers benefits such as saving your search history, requesting OhioLINK items, etc. Sign-in from off-campus is required to access Maly Library's online resources.


Faculty, staff, seminarians, and lay students using MTSM email (name@athenaeum.edu) 

Sign in where appropriate and use your Office 365 credentials. This is a "Single Sign-On" that will not require another authentication login. 

  • School of Theology lay students, be sure to choose Faculty and Staff and School of Theology
  • If you have any problems with your athenaeum.edu Office 365 login, please contact ithelp@athenaeum.edu

Guest Patrons

Use the email address you have registered with the library. If you receive email notices from the Maly Library, that is your registered email address! The first time you log in to our new library catalog, choose "Registered guests" and "Reset your password." You should receive an email shortly to set up a password. By signing in, you can see what you have borrowed, save your search history, and create a list of favorites. You do not have Off-Campus Access and cannot access Maly Library's subscribed online resources nor request items from OhioLINK and interlibrary loan.


Adjunct faculty, lay students, former faculty/staff, and other "special guest patrons" who do not use MTSM email 

Since you are not using "Single Sign-On," you will need to authenticate twice from off-campus, first to your library account, and second to our online databases. Please follow the procedure below. 

  1. Choose Registered guests.
  2. Another login window will pop up, where you can Reset your password.
  3. When you reset your password, use the email you have registered with the Maly Library. If you receive library notices from us, that is your registered email. Or contact us to verify your registered email address.
  4. You should receive an email shortly to set up a new password. After logging in, you will have access to your library account to see your loans, requests, favorites, etc. 
  5. The first time you choose a resource that is "Available online,” request a copy from OhioLINK or interlibrary loan, or click on links from A-Z databases, you will see the Off-Campus Access authentication screen with red buttons. Choose Special Guest Patrons.
  6. When prompted, enter the same login credentials you just set up.
