The U.S. Religious Landscape Survey, conducted by the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, was published in February of 2008. This survey provides data about the demographics, spiritual lives, and public/social lives of different religious groups in the United States. You can filter the data to examine one religious affiliation or compare multiple affiliations in a single glance. The Pew Forum provides excellent graphics and visual representations of their data.

CARA is a non-profit research association affiliated with Georgetown University that conducts research concerning various aspects of life in the church, including surveys about religious life and trends in the lay population. The Association of Religion Data Archives (ARDA) website offers county, state and national reports based on the most recent US Religion Census. The site also makes available research on religion from around the world. Data included in the ARDA are submitted by religion scholars and research centers. Currently housed in the Social Science Research Institute, the College of Liberal Arts, and the Department of Sociology at the Pennsylvania State University, the ARDA is funded by the Lilly Endowment, the John Templeton Foundation, Chapman University and the Pennsylvania State University.
